At Leaven, modern Nordic coolness and simplicity meets fiery Spanish temper. In the cosy and intimate restaurant spanning over two floors in an old town house in central Copenhagen, guests are treated to a modern bistro-style kitchen offering beautifully arranged dishes with the best Nordic ingredients.
You will find lots of Danish fish and shellfish on the menu, but you can also run into some Spanish inspiration, for example Iberic pork, squid or black olives of the finest quality. Choose between the 4-course menu of the day or select from the á la carte menu, which is comprised of 12-15 starter-sized dishes.
There is a great emphasis on wine here. Everywhere you look, you will see bottles and wine crates from some of the world's best producers. The wine list offers more than 250 different wines, most of them from Burgundy, taking in both well-known and upcoming producers, natural wines and conventionally produced wines at reasonable prices.
The restaurant is also a nice place to enjoy a cocktail before or after the meal. You can sit in the long bar situated in the center of the main floor, from where you can watch the chefs do their magic in the semi-open kitchen.
