DagH is a popular café with a relaxed atmosphere at the east end of the lakes. The tables by the water are one of the reasons for its popularity.
Inside, there are two large rooms - one with a bar and one with a fireplace, and the fire gets lit when the weather is cold.
Open every day for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, the menu has a good mixture of café food and regular restaurant dishes. In the mornings that could be soft-boiled eggs and bread, or for lunch and dinner burgers, sandwiches and a large selection of salads. There are also modern variations on classic Danish open sandwiches (smørrebrød), and there is always a good-value dish of the day of traditional Danish cooking.
Dag H is also a good place to drop by for coffee, cake and to read newspapers. There is also free wifi. As is everything else, the cakes are home-made from fine ingredients.
The wine list us varied and includes European wines as well as bottles from further afield, and many are available by the glass. Cocktails, freshly-squeezed juices and freshly-roasted coffee are also available.
Some of the dishes are suitable for ordering as takeaway, and the location is also ideal for a stop on the way to the sports and concert stadium, Parken.
