Ristorante Italiano is situated on the corner of Fiolstræde and Skindergade and is the first Italian restaurant to in Copenhagen. It opened in 1952.
The interior has a rustic look. The brick walls are decorated with motives from Italy, dark tile floors and the traditional wooden beams in the ceiling. The kitchen prepares everything Italian: Bread, pasta and ice cream - all of it homemade. The menu has a wide variety of pizzas, pastas, meat and fish specialties. Children are welcome and several special children's menus are offered.
The wine list, naturally, consists of Italian wines, many of them from the district of Tuscany. The restaurant seats 120 guests on the first floor, 100 on the ground floor and approximately 200 at the tables outside. Meals are served outside practically all year, and in the evening the rays of the heaters glow.
