Krogs Fiskerestaurant at Gammel Strand is one of Copenhagen's classical establishments and as the oldest fish restaurant in the city is somewhat of an institution, with a fine reputation in Denmark as well as abroad.

French/Nordic gourmet cuisine based on exquisite fresh fish and shellfish from the waters surrounding Denmark is served.

The menu and a-la-carte are changed according to the seasons and all ingredients are obtained from local organic farms. Most fish come from Gilleleje and the vegetables come from super-green and organic farmer Søren Wiuff by Lammefjorden. The wine is primarily French with an impressive menu with a special white burgundy and champagne. The prices are not low, because of the quality of the fish and vegetables. The philosophy behind the restaurant is that a customer should not go feeling hungry, so there is plenty food to enjoy, while you are seated in a classically decorated room overlooking the old canals. In the summer, you can sit outside with a very pleasant view of the canal and the Danish Parliament building, Christiansborg.
