The Magasasa dynasty has opened yet another modern Chinese gem for locals – or others who likes tasteful, authentic dishes from the regional Chinese cuisines. Here at Vesterbrogade, the Magasasa universe culminates in a fusion kitchen between China and the West. Good European ingredients are combined with traditional Chinese flavors at this fourth Magasasa restaurant.
If you think of the Chinese cuisine as dirty and with all the dishes deep fried into oblivion, it's certainly not Magasasa you've been visiting. There are already three Magasasa restaurants in Copenhagen, and each restaurant represents three different regions, each with its own culinary profile (the spicy and spiced Sichuan cuisine on Istedgade, the Hunan kitchen with its sweetness and spicy aromatic taste on Amager and in the Meat Packing District (Kødbyen) you will find their dim sum kitchen). The latest Magasasa restaurant here at Vesterbrogade brings together the favorites from the three restaurants and adds a few other classics to the menu.
The restaurant is playful and an experimental frontier of the Chinese kitchen.
Like the restaurant in the Meat Packing District, fresh cocktails are also served here, which are packed with flavors from the East.
Prices for both food and cocktails are certainly in the low end of the scale, especially considering the quality!
The decor is open and simple and it is both possible to sit and look at busy Vesterbrogade or hide smaller corners where you enjoy the great dishes with your friends.
