Musling is the city's newest fish bar. It is related with Kødbyens Fiskebar, located in the Meatpacking District. The restaurant is created by restaurateur Anders Selmer (ex. Noma). In the kitchen, the chefs Morten Schou (ex. Ensemble) and Mikkel H.Olsen (ex. Babette). Mussel has already received a full five star review in in the newspapers, so there is some evidence that allready from the moment the new ship lay off the dock it was doing something right. And this ship is loaded with fish. Real fish, fresh fish from the very best locations in Denmark. The menu offers dishes from 85 DKK. All days between 3pm and 5pm you are offered six oysters for 100DKK only. The style of the menu is very simple - the chefs are playing with cooking methods and the best seasonal ingredients. There are no tasting menus, but an eclectic a la carte menu (from 60 to 185 DKK per dish - they recommend 3-4 pieces). In addition, the restaurant focuses on lovely, healthy wines. The design bureau Space Copenhagen is responsible for the interior, which also designed Noma Restaurant Coal, Geist, Geranium and other well-known restaurants in Copenhagen. It's minimalist bare concrete walls, steel furniture and light brown leather sofas along the walls. Call the restaurant for more information on companies and menu.
