In 2015, the team behind the popular Kødbyens Fiskebar opened another fish restaurant, focusing on delicious, tasty dishes served at fair daily prices. The new restaurant - just next to the food market, Torvehallerne - is called Musling Bistro.
From Tuesday to Saturday, simple, well-prepared dishes of freshly caught fish, seafood and vegetables are served. Common to the ingredients is that they reflect the restaurant's principle of leaving a better world for the next generations. Therefore, fish and shellfish are caught by sustainable methods such as grids and lines that conserve the seabed and wildlife's natural habitat while the organic and biodynamic vegetables are brought home from 'local' farmers who share Musling's belief in a sustainable future.
Of course, the seasonal evolution often lead to frequent changes in the menu, but you can always be sure to be in savvy culinary hands at Musling, where you are allowed to taste some of the best ingredients from the Danish backyard and waters.
The sustainable credo applies to the wine menu as well, where all the beautiful wines are without the addition of chemistry.
The decor is made by the well-known Danish designer Henrik Vibskov, who brings some colors to the otherwise raw and rustic decor that characterizes this cozy fish restaurant.
There is space at the bar, in the sofas for slightly bigger companies, while there is definitely room for cozy romantic dinners where you can dine with a good conscience and enjoy the company and the elegant seafood dishes.
