Restaurant CLOU is located in Borgergade, right in the center of Copenhagen. The restaurant is owned by the twins Jonathan and Alexander Berntsen. Both have previously together run their own restaurant in Copenhagen and latest they come from positions such as head of Restaurant Grönbeck and deputy head of Restaurant Churchill.
The place is divided into two sections, a restaurant with white tablecloths and a matching wine bar. The bar has long rustic wooden tables, candles, wine coolers and lots of boxes filled with wine. It should be noted that the restaurant is the sole importer of Selosse from France which produces only 25,000 bottles a year.
Food is served in the bar area, however, is not the same standard as in the adjacent restaurant area. Food in the wine bar is simpler like for instance olives, croquettes of cod and potatoes, cooked crab and moules. Furthermore, At lot of charcuterie and cheese can be found on the menu, foie gras as well.. You can also eat here for lunch, where included the lunch menu is a two-course menu for business people. In the restaurant you can choose the a la carte menu or get the "Today’s CLOU" consisting of seven dishes and a matching wine menu at a reasonable price compared to Copenhagen gourmet level.
