Restaurant Grønnegade is located in one of Copenhagen's oldest town houses in Grønnegade, and history can not be explained away when you step into the cozy, romanticly decorated restaurant, which covers two floors. The menu is based on seasonal changes with good Danish ingredients as a basis of a cuisine that is inspired by modern Scandinavian trends and classic French virtues. In evenings you can choose either a 3, 4 or 5-course dinner with or without an accompanying wine menu. Otherwise, you can make a choice from the a la carte menu, which offers 3-4 different appetizers, entrees, desserts and cheese. Prices are at a high medium level, but the kitchen is uncompromising when it comes to the quality of raw materials, and especially if you choose the menu, you get a lot for your money.
The wine list is very extensive and classic with a predominance of French bottles, but you'll also find wines from other European countries and the New World. The card also includes everything from good everyday wines up to large Bourgogne and Bordeaux wines of older vintages.
