Restaurant Karla is centrally located only 5 min. from the Town Hall Square. The restaurant has a large outdoor space for use during the hot summer months. The place has just opened by three owners, who also operates Restaurant Puk and Krøyers Garden, which is a well-known family restaurant in Frederiksberg.
Like the sister restaurants Restaurant Karla has a Danish cuisine with good old classics. For lunch you can for example enjoy butter fried plaice with homemade French fries, herring and tartar. On the evening menu you will find the Karla menu and Retro menu that reflects the traditional Danish cuisine as well. There is a delicious selection of steaks, filet tournedos, stew, fish and a few vegetarian dishes. For the sweet tooth there are a number of homemade delights like pancakes, apple pie and chocolate fondant - and a mature, very strong cheese served on rye bread with fat, cloud and rum.
The restaurant is cozy and simply decorated with views to the Dante Square, where there is room for 80 guests during the summer months. In the basement you will find a fine room that would be perfect to use for family celebrations and private events. The three owners have run restaurants in Copenhagen for several years, so both the service and food are top notch.
