Ristorante l'Imperatore is a new Italian restaurant at the end of the closed Olufsvej in Copenhagen.
The hosts are Sicilian Armando di Raffaele and his Danish wife Denise Dalsgaard, who, after a few years as restaurateurs in Italy, have now decided to open a branch of their Italian restaurant l'Imperatore in Copenhagen.
The restaurant is ideal for a romantic evening. There are thick white tablecloths, candles and flowers on all the tables, while the walls of the restaurant is decorated with large murals from floor to ceiling. A little piece of Italy in Copenhagen. On the menu you can dive into Italian classics like spaghetti alle vongole (clams), ravioli with mushrooms and truffles or black risotto colored with squid ink. Amonng the main courses are grilled sea bass, grilled lamb, beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce or a big grilled ribeye.
All fruits and vegetables used in the restaurant are organic.
Of course there is also a special focus on wines from Italy, and for the wine-lovers, there is plenty of cool stuff to explore. Top Barolos, Brunellos and more from the Italian wine country abounds on the wine list and the shelves of the restaurant.
The restaurant is also ideal for a larger family dinner with room for everyone. For children there is a special children's menu with spaghetti bolognese, fettuccine with butter and Parmesan or lasagna.
There is also the opportunity to enjoy dinner or coffee outside. The restaurant is located on a closed road, so there is peace and quiet despite the central location just off Østerbrogade. The couple also operates Italian Deli & Organic in Torvehallerne.
