Sokkelund Cafe & Brasserie is reminiscent of one of those great places you may be lucky enough to encounter while on holiday in Paris, and when the weather is nice, there is outdoor seating in front of the café.
The many regulars and the experienced waiters contribute to a cozy, homely and welcoming atmosphere and the food is well above the standard, one often encounters in other cafés around town. Coffee comes from micro-roastery KONTRA Coffee and is brewed by trained baristas. In the kitchen everything is prepared from scratch from good produce.
This is reflected in the price, which is slightly higher than at other cafes - but you get what you pay for. The menu is, for example, croissants, breakfast and brunch during the morning and sandwiches, salads and light fare for lunch. In the evening, dishes from the French brasserie cuisine dominates the menu, along with seasonal Danish and international inspiration. The wines are exclusively from organic and biodynamic producers, many by the glass.
There is good opportunity for free parking around the café, which is ideal for day meetings. It is always a good idea to book a table here because of Sokkelund's popularity.
