The famed Copenhagen restaurant Nose2Tail has changed its name. Now the place is called Spargo’s Meatpacker. The restaurant was one of the primary drivers of the extreme make-over the Meatpacking District has had in recent years. From a neglected spot on the map to the hippest place for eating, drinking and enjoying art in the Danish capital.

So let's mention what's new besides the name. The kitchen now serves delicious, rich dishes in a New York-inspired Italian-American way. You will find a large and tempting selection of snack and appetizers, including XL spicy hot wings, potato skin with bacon and cheese or a deep-fried camembert cheese, which will make your crave even more.

The 'main course' is pasta with the possibility of seven different toppings. You can try pasta with fresh seafood, or slowly cooked pork meat or a delicious bolognese, which of course is also found its way to the menu. You are also in charge of the size of the portions, as you can choose between a single plate or a family-style size, so you’ll be able to share with your friends, girl/boyfriend, family or whomever you will be sharing with.

Some things have fortunately stayed the same. Spargo's Meatpacker has not changed the concept of the restaurant's meat, where focus on sustainability and life quality of the animals is high!

The decor down the basement restaurant (which Spargo's is) is really nice. The glow from candles and incandescent bulbs leaves a relaxed warm glow on the white tiles, reminiscent of the original soul of the Meatpacking District.


At the back of the restaurant you will find a small intimate bar where aficionados of rum, whiskey and mezcal will find a quality playground pleasing their desires. You will also find a larger lounge area behind the tables, where fresh cocktails are served with music from the DJ who plays from Thursday to Saturday.
